Selecting and setting up your growing space

01

Available Light

Autoflowering cannabis plants will require at least 6 hours of direct light daily. For outdoor growers, choose a permanent position that receives at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily.  For indoor growers, an LED grow light and timer will provide necessary light.

Temperatures

The ideal temperature for cannabis plant growth is between 70-85°F (21-29°C).  For indoor growers, your HVAC is going to take care of temps, but for outdoor growers, some research and planning may be required to maximize yield potential across the season.

Air Circulation

Proper air circulation improves plant strength and resistances.  For outdoor growers, select a location that maximizes any available breezes but is still protected from strong winds.  For indoor growers, molds can be problematic where air circulation is not adequate.  Have a small fan on hand to create airflow if you find your plant lacking in this area.

Out of sight, but not out of mind

Your plant will do best growing in an area with plenty of light, comfortable temperatures, and plentiful air circulation.  The last component to consider is security.  Protecting your plant from pet's or visitor's accidental bumping or tipping is almost as important as the previous three factors.  Wherever your place your plant to grow, make sure its a place it can remain for its lifecycle and if that is out of sight, don't let it be out of mind!
